Cinema City sold nearly 20 million tickets in 2007 (29 January 2008)
11.02.2008Growth in Poland significantly outpaces the market, with 11.9 million tickets
There were 32.6 million cinema admissions sold in Poland in 2007, according to data from Boxoffice.pl, a company that monitors this market. That was 1.8% more than in 2006. During the same period, Cinema City’s ticket sales in Poland grew by 21.4%, to 11.9 million. The Cinema City chain as a whole, in its six countries of operation, sold 19.8 million admissions in 2007, which was 15.1% more than in the previous year.
Cinema City signs lease for 21st multiplex in Romania (24 January 2008)
11.02.2008Cinema City International N.V. (“Cinema City”) will open a multiplex in the Romanian city of Suceava. It is Cinema City’s 21st project in Romania. Until the end of the year the Company plans to open 5-6 more multiplexes in this country.
